* Message from Chairman Janet Askew: * "Hello everyone, We hope that you are well and keeping safe in these strange and challenging times. It has been too long since we have been in touch and we are sure you all feel as we do in hoping that things return to normal soon; but sadly, that time is not yet here. Recently, we met with the team at the Core Theatre to better understand the guidelines and options available to us. Unfortunately with this knowledge, we have come to the tough decision that this year's pantomime will not go ahead. Not only would it be financially unviable but with all the strict rules, it wouldn't be a CATS show. Everyone's safety is paramount to us and no matter how badly we want to put a show on, it's not worth the risk. Despite this bad news, we want to reassure you that the show will go on. As previously announced, our plans for Legally Blonde have been postponed to May 2021, and we have now made plans to move Beauty and the Beast to January 2022, this way we can preserve what a CATS show is known and loved for. We know that this news is not what any of us want to hear, but we do hope you can see that we have your safety foremost in our decisions. Please stick with us and keep in touch, we have big plans coming your way so keep your eyes peeled! Take care all and stay safe."
